BIOGRAPHY

Daniel Fernandez received the M.S. degree in power electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Oviedo, Gijon, Spain, in 2013 and 2017 respectively. From July to December 2013, he was an Intern at the Nissan Advanced Technology Center, Japan. From August to November 2015 he was a visiting student at the University of Sheffield and form May to July 2019 he was a visiting professor at the University of Padova. He is currently an Associate professor at the University of Oviedo. His research interests include design, control and diagnostics of electric machines and drives. Dr. Fernandez was awarded a fellowship of the Personnel Research Training Program funded by the Regional Ministry of Education and Science of the Principality of Asturias in 2013. He received the University of Oviedo outstanding Ph.D. Thesis Award in 2018 and is member of the IEEE Society since 2015
