ABOUT AECP RESEARCH GROUP
AECP is a research group founded in 1999. In 2011 was certified by the National Agency of Accreditation (ANECA). Initially research and collaborations with industry were focused on AC drives control. Further, its scope was extended to a much wider range of applications, including:
Design, modeling and control of electric drives, with special focus on transportation (HEV and railway)
Design of PMSM with special focus on transportation
Grid-tied electronic power converters (controlled rectifiers, active power filters). These include three-phase and single phase (railway) systems
Energy storage systems, high power electrolizers
Modeling and stability analysis of power converters and power systems
Supervision, monitoring and diagnostics of electric drives and electronic power converters
Microgrids and smart grids
Electrical noise (conducted emissions) audits and studies in high-power photovoltaic plants
Partners and Projects with industry
Design, modeling and control of electric drives
Power Converters (AC, DC, Multilevel)
